Our annual International Night is around the corner on Wednesday, March 20th from 5:30 — 7:00 p.m. at the Blake Street Campus. Come sponsor a country for our International Night Potluck! Sponsoring a country means to bring a food item related to this country as well as other information about this place and its culture.
Some ideas include: a poster with images, drawings, and facts about your destination; a book about this destination; music; cultural objects; photo album, etc. This could be a fun project for you to share with your student at Elm City Montessori. See our example displays in the entryway of Blake Street and Quinnipiac Ave to get ideas. Or, if you don’t feel like sponsoring a country, sign up to provide food items for the pot luck for everyone to enjoy and come “tour” the rest of the world with us. Visit our sign-up list here: http://bit.ly/ECMSInternational2019
We look forward to introducing you to our new families and staff members at our Welcome Back Potluck! Please bring your favorite dish(es) and join us from 5:00 – 7:00pm at our elementary location, 495 Blake St. As always, we are a nut free school. See you there!
Come and gather at the ECMS garden to replant and add more to the garden, so it is bountiful when students return in the fall! We will plant corn, tomatoes, pumpkins and sweet peas…all crops that will be fruiting as the school year begins.
Bring the family, a dish to share (no nuts please), your green and not-so-green thumbs and share a potluck meal and enjoy the late summer evening. We will bring the supplies!
Come with your ideas for how parents can help students maintain the garden throughout year.
Drop-in gardening followed by potluck dinner at 6PM

Have a favorite country?
Create a display that showcases the famous site, important people, cultural aspects, food, etc. of the country. For example, the “France” table might include a drawing of the Eiffel Tower, a few books about France, and slices of baguette with cheese.
Short on time? Bring a main dish for the potluck.
